WHY CELEBRATE PRIDE

Pride shows the entire community that we aren't going away. As a Parent of Queer People, showing my pride is showing our Queer kids that they are loved, belong and are important to adults.

It gives voices to those ostracized by society
Perse: Genderqueer, Pansexual
The older generations were attacked and ridiculed for celebrating themselves. Pride is important because the younger generations need to know that it’s okay to be who you are and to love who you love. Representation is extremely important for queer youth and pride is a way to amplify queer voices.
